The Mikasa French Countryside flatware set is a quaint design, versatile enough to coordinate with multiple decorating styles. It has a highly polished finish which I plan to hand wash and dry most of the time, although Im sure it would hold up well in the dishwasher. The weight and balance is good, but I find it slightly more cumbersome to use than another set I have. In my pictures I show another older European sized set that is slightly larger, and a vintage set that I consider human sized, along with the Mikasa set in the center. I would prefer to buy American made these are made in Vietnam. Overall, I am happy with my purchase, and Wayfair has competitive prices and fast shipping.. Ritzby. USA. Mon Sep 14 2026

I also like that for spoons and for forks, The set brings two different sizes so two sizes for forks and two sizes for spoons. Fly back to the streamlined chicness of the 50s. The decade was famous for more than its conservative mores. It was also the beginning of an interconnected, transatlantic world where styles bent to asymmetries and pop music warped to rock-n-roll. Take off to the flowing sculpture of the mid-century with Flight.

I bought this set because it very closely matches my original 8-place Oneida flatware set. I was a little disappointed that this flatware is a bit lighter weight than the original, and that “China” is stamped on all the forks and spoons. Why?! So annoying.. Sandra. Ridgecrest, CA. Tue Feb 27 2024

I love my flatware set. It's well made and elegant. The utensils are heavy, so there's substance in the metal used to make them. I had this set for almost 2 years and it's still going strong with no signs of rust. I wash the utensils in the dishwasher and they have minimal scratching. I took one star off because one of the spoons was not finished properly and had some scratches/ slights burrs on it.. Alina. Tucker, GA. Sat Dec 04 2021
