Crafted from 18/10 stainless steel, this set will stand up to the rigors of specialty use. A five-piece single setting for your classic formal setup includes 1 salad/dessert fork, 1 dinner fork, 1 butter knife, 1 dinner knife, and 1 teaspoon. Stainless steel is dishwasher safe but is recommended to be maintained with hand washing methods. Lemon detergent is not recommended as this may cause corrosion. The ideal method for washing flatware is by hand for prolonged care and to avoid damage. For best results do not leave flatware soaking in water, soup, etc. for long periods of time. Use a soft cloth and mild detergent to clean and dry thoroughly before storing.

The development of our place settings all started with the mission to revive an American cutlery factory based in New York. The Couzon company was founded in 1934 by Mr. Jean Couzon. After having started producing stainless steel flatware and holloware in 1946, the company quickly developed into one of France's undisputed market leaders. The trading brand 'Jean Couzon Orfevre', adopted in 1971, was soon recognized on the market thanks to clever advertising - and, obviously, fine product quality. In the late seventies and early eighties, the company worked hard to be at the leading edge of progress, not only technologically but in areas such as sales, advertising and creation as well. The efforts paid off; in 1986 Couzon had over 700 employees and its products were sold with great success.
