The Couzon company was founded in 1934 by Mr. Jean Couzon. After having started producing stainless steel flatware and holloware in 1946, the company quickly developed into one of France's undisputed market leaders. The trading brand 'Jean Couzon Orfevre', adopted in 1971, was soon recognized on the market thanks to clever advertising - and, obviously, fine product quality. In the late seventies and early eighties, the company worked hard to be at the leading edge of progress, not only technologically but in areas such as sales, advertising and creation as well. The efforts paid off; in 1986 Couzon had over 700 employees and its products were sold with great success.

Using stainless steel, we created an heirloom-inspired collection to accompany your table setting. Each set is tumbled alongside ceramic material, giving every piece the special, pottery-inspired patina. The Conventry set features subtle details, creating a sophisticated tabletop.

I like that this is made in the USA but am not sure I love the tumbled look since am used to shiny flatware. Also, the teaspoon has a scratch on it.. Kristen. Owls Head, ME. Fri Jul 05 2024

Curved lines distinguish this versatile pattern, and a leaf design adds a decorative touch to the end of the handles. The perfect pick for any occasion.

These visually match our original Melon Bud pieces from 20 years ago with two differences. The first and more important difference is that original sets were 188, and these are 1810. The second and barely discernible difference is while the length of the knife is the same, it has a very slightly different curvature. No one would ever be able to notice these differences on your table (it’s tough to see even with two knives in hand looking for the difference) and the pieces still feel nice in hand, which was the original appeal. Even side by side the knives are not too different. In the photos, the originals are on the left, the replacements on the right.. Katherine. Canal Winchester, OH. Tue May 19 2020
