Riedel always adds a touch of class to your wine experience. These were purchased as a gift for a fellow Pinot Noir lover. The right glass enhances the aroma and taste of the wine as you sip it. I was skeptical as to whether or not they would survive transport and was very happy when they arrived safely. You immediately sense Kahler's heritage of proud, traditional craftsmanship when you hold the stem and drink from the new wine glasses in Kahler's Hammershoi series. The proportions are balanced and classic, and the design language of the wine glasses in interaction with the iconic grooves highlights the classic, yet contemporary expression of the series, which is eternally current on the table. The grooves almost rise up and carry the round bowl at the top. Notice also the details, where the stem tapers both at the top and bottom – a reference to the design tradition that is the hallmark of a Hammershoi vase.
