Ok, I tried the glasses with ice and without ice and if you get these, you need to have ice in them, otherwise the frozen gel melts pretty quickly. The pics show one glass with ice, and the other one shows how half of the glass has already melted in just a few minutes. So, if you want to bring them outside on a hot day, you’d be better off with an insulated hydro flask bottle. I like the look of them because they are nice looking, and will definitely add an extra little chill for indoors, but it’s too hot in the summer where I live so I’ll stick with my insulated metal cups. It’s a high quality product - I gave it as a gift to my son, ordered online without seeing it. Son says it’s fairly delicate looking and he’ll only use them with company b/c he’s concerned they’ll break easily. Also, I thought the bottom design feature was solid glass, giving the glass some stability (it’s a tall, narrow Pilsner style glass) …. but it’s an open design at the bottom which is one of the reasons son thinks it’s delicate.
