I looked for an option that was somewhere between stoneware and correl style for a long time and found this set. I love, love, love this dish set. The stoneware is high quality. The coating on them almost seems like porcelain but with the sturdy weight of stoneware. The ribbed texture and two toned design are my favorite thing. It makes the dishes look very modern and distinct. The high ridges on the plates are great for saucy foods and for stacking them in the cupboard. The mugs are also a great size. This is a set that I highly recommend! These dishes are really nice! They are lighter weight, which makes me worry they are a bit fragile. They are not marked as microwave and dishwasher safe, but the insert says they are.
