The collection is defined by its use of elegant contrast. Subdued lines encircle one another while bold reflective metallic elements frame each piece while simultaneously framing your most beautiful dishes.

I love modern art and this design fits my personality and decor perfectly! The bone china is exquisite and as a home chef, I wanted a solid white, yet elegant backdrop for the food I serve my guests. I don’t like doing dishes, so my new pattern had to be dishwasher safe, as well as be able to be used in the microwave. The product description says that “Orbit” was safe for both. However, when I put a bowl in the microwave to warm some leftovers, the metal around the rim started sparking and almost caught fire. When I immediately took it out, it was so hot that I burned the inside of my thumb! I would have easily given this set 5 stars, had this not happened. Wayfair and one other retailer are the only ones who list this set as “dishwasher and microwave safe.” The manufacturer and all others state that because of the metal trim, it is only “dishwasher and warm oven” safe. I still LOVE this set even though we’ve had to make adjustments when warning food. I just hope that Wayfair changes this pattern’s product description, so that others don’t have the same unfortunate experience that I did. dishwasher sStillStil. Angela. Inglewood, CA. The earliest type of pottery, earthenware is crafted from either red or white clay and fired at a low temperature, resulting in its thick, rustic look and feel. After that, it’s glazed to become watertight. Earthenware is not as durable and strong as other materials, so it’s not your best bet for homes with children. Like this set, for instance: With service for four, it sports a lovely two-tone finish that works well on any tablescape. Plus, each piece is dishwasher and microwave-safe, so after-dinner cleanup and reheating leftovers is a breeze.
