The Proctor Silex® Countertop Single Electric Burner has 1000 watts of power to boil 5 cups of water in 15 minutes or less. The versatile burner has adjustable temperature control so you can easily go from boiling water for coffee or tea to preparing a meal or keeping a side dish warm. The burner lets you add extra cooking space where and when you need it most. The single burner is perfect to use for the holidays, during home renovations, when entertaining or pot lucks. You can even take it on vacation. The burner fits anywhere and is easy to move around. The smooth ceramic coating on the 6" diameter cast iron cooking plate is nonstick, making cleanup a snap. The burner works with ceramic cookware and many other types of cookware material, even aluminum (which will not work on induction cookers). It's great for woks, Dutch ovens, frying pans, kettles and more. The rubber feet securely grip your kitchen countertop or other flat surfaces to help prevent sliding, and the power indicator light lets you know when the cooktop is plugged in and ready to use.
