High quality wine glasses made by Riedel which is one of the brands known for their high-end, luxury, handmade glasses and decanters. These glasses are part of their Extreme Collection. They are machine-made, dishwasher-safe, and durable. I don't have worry about them being too precious for daily use and yet they are elegant and feel good in the hand. I can find "cheaper" glasses, but these are big bang for your buck if you want to get a quality glass and not break the bank. It's great to find Riedel quality on the Wayfair site. Earlier in the year I ordered the champage glasses which are a bit smaller. I put the white wine glass next to it so you can see the difference. I purchased a set of these in the champagne size/type to give as a wedding gift, and they fit the bill perfectly. The glasses are very elegant and delicate, and they look and feel expensive and finely crafted. The design is what I would describe as classic with a twist. The slight curve of the lip is just beautiful, and I think the style is versatile enough such that you could pair these with other serving items that are either modern or more classic in their aesthetic and it would all look cohesive. I recommend these without reservation. The one thing that surprised me upon seeing them in person is that the size of the glass bowl is a little larger than I was imagining based on the pictures, but it's not a bad thing, just something to keep in mind.
