This is my first juicer, and I started with a banana, which only produced pulp, as expected since the manual warns against using soft foods. However, a mix of carrots, broccoli, and cabbage juiced well. I took pictures showing the juice and the leftover pulp. Assembly was quick and easy. I was disappointed with the manufacturing quality. There’s a hole with a jagged cut, which could damage the silicone insert during cleaning. I even found a small piece of plastic that had already broken off. The auger also had rough areas along its seam. If the build quality were better, I could recommend it, assuming durability, but the manuals numerous typos also dont inspire confidence. I waited anxiously for the arrival of my zstar manual juicer, because I couldn’t wait to juice up my wheatgrass. It works great. Being manual, you do have to put some muscle in it, but no complaints about that, and I found it a bit frustrating putting it together at first, but it got better with practice. It cleans up easily and it has the potential to do a lot of other things, which is good, being that it is a manual juicer. I like it and I would and have recommend(ed) it. The wheatgrass juice that I made from it was very potent and strong smelling, I felt that I was getting everything nutritionally from it. I juiced up a pound of it, worked up a good sweat, but the taste over the period of time that I drank it never weakened. I give this 5 stars. I found that I was quite frustrated during the initial assembly of this machine. There are limited instructions regarding the setup, although it appears really basic. Everything has to align, lid needs to be open on the cup, etc. In fact, I thought perhaps there was a problem with the machine but I stuck with it and found the issue was me, not the machine. I have never juiced before and watching the beautiful liquid from my apples, carrots and oranges stream out was such a treat! The machine works fabulously! I really like this juicer! I have been trying to eat healthier this year, so I thought a juicer would be a great idea. Plus, it's a great way to use up fruit that might otherwise go bad if you aren't going to eat it quickly. And this juicer does a great job. I have done apples and oranges so far and it juices them very well -- the juice itself never has any pulp or pieces. It goes through the fruit fairly easily, although you may need to push it down with the included stick every so often. I don't know if any juicer is ever easy to clean, but this isn't much harder than any other appliance, particularly with the included brush that really gets in the crevices. Overall I'm very happy..
