I purchased this to avoid having my cilantro spoiled after a few days in the fridge. Saving it in water allowed it to last longer, but it gave the smell inside the fridge and it took a lot of spice. This is the one for flour, sugar, rice, etc. Holds a good amount and is very sturdy. Same quality as other products in the line. Takes up space, so some other sizes may be more practical than this one. I was able to convert to some smaller sizes and free up space in the pantry by not using as many of this size; only when they were the truly right size. It is suited for use in the fridge and freezer, for heating in the oven and microwave, and, with its distinctive Zwilling design, is also suited as a storage jar on the shelf or in a kitchen cabinet. The storage jar gets its versatile strength and durable quality from the strong, temperature-stable glass. It is particularly hygienic, making it ideal for sensitive foods and a health-conscious nutritional style. With its special plastic lid, the glass container can be sealed airtight. Aroma-proof, it protects meals, e.g. against odors or moisture in the fridge, and leak-proof, as required, it turns the multi-functional fresh-storage jars into transport containers. Juicy fruit salad, for instance, can be prepared, chilled, taken along on a picnic, and served there in the Zwilling Gusto glass gratin dish – all without the annoying filling from one container to another. After use, glass containers and plastic lids can be cleaned simply and quickly – both parts are dishwasher safe and low-maintenance.

The round Zwilling Gusto glass gratin dish (600 ml) is a true all-rounder when it comes to the storage, preparation, and serving of food and meals. It can be used in the fridge and freezer just as well as in the oven or microwave for heating. As a true all-rounder, it also functions as a storage jar – and its high-quality design is a true eye-catcher. Regarding the material, Zwilling relies on strong, temperature-stable glass. This makes the glass gratin dish robust and particularly hygienic so that sensitive foods are also safely stored. This is especially important for conscious consumers. They also appreciate the uncomplicated cleaning, because the glass gratin dish is dishwasher safe and low-maintenance. The glass container can be sealed airtight with a special plastic lid. Now meals are protected aroma-proof, odors and moisture in the fridge have no chance of getting in. However, the multi-functional fresh storage jars can do even more: Being leak-proof, they are also suitable as a transport container, when, e.g. you would like to take along salads or desserts to a picnic and serve them there.
