The inspiration behind the design of these beautiful Osteria wine glasses is from traditional Italian dining. The Cabernet glass is perfect for full-bodied, complex red wines that are high in tannin. The generous size of this glass allows the bouquet to develop fully, and smooths out the rough edges. It emphasizes the fruit, playing down the bitter qualities of the tannin, and allows wines to achieve balance. This shape was re-developed in 2018 for better aromatics. The optic impact in the RIEDEL Performance series adds both a design feature and an astounding effect on wine's aromatics. This product is made of clear crystal glass. RIEDEL Performance is the first wine glass series ever to feature bowls with a light optic impact for better aromatics. Co-designed by both Georg and Maximilian Riedel, RIEDEL Performance is a technologically advanced and user-friendly collection of grape varietal specific glasses.

Super nice wine glasses. Only downside is they are extremely fragile. I broke one the second time I hand washed the set. The stem broke as I was twisting the glass. Great glasses, just be careful. John. Redondo Beach, CA. Sat Jun 13 2026

These wine glasses are the perfect size and as I (and a number of friends) have relatively small hands, they’re easy to hold. Lovely etched design and reminiscent of Italy (my Italian husband loves them). They’re a little thicker than I expected, but probably a good think as some of our friends are a little clumsy . I bought 8 glasses - if we had more cupboard space I would have bought more.. Anonymous. Sat Aug 08 2026
