I was totally surprised that the cups were made of metal. I was reminded of when I was a little girl and my grandmother had a set of blue and white ones. She would pour a little bit of coffee in one and put alot of milk and a little bit of sugar. Super cute mug. I personally love the smaller size because I feel your hot drinks stay hotter longer. I had never used a tin mug before, and now I understand why they are often used in campingoutdoor settings. The entire mug gets hot! Even when holding in such a way that you are not burning your hands, it is crazy hot on your lips. I like a hot cup of coffee..but not this kind of hot.
