Flowers blossom with an exuberant feast of colors on this sugar & creamer set designed in the Talavera style of the state of Puebla. The motifs are painted by hand over the ivory-color the sugar & creamer set with a palette that includes yellowish-orange, blue, and green flowers over a crisscross network of dots and crosses. Bordered by a black honeycomb, the creamer and sugar bowl come from the "Zacatlán" collection designed by Pedro tecayehuatl.
This is a beautiful set. However, the craftmanship is a bit off. The lid doesn't actually fit inside the top of the sugar bowl, no matter how you turn it. The creamer has a slight bump in the glaze near the spout that makes it pour a bit wonky. It's Puebla talavera, however, so we'll overlook the minor imperfections.. Molly. CA. Mon Feb 12 2024
