It is very compact and will not take up too much space in a kitchen with many appliances. The machine performs very well even with very thick and rich hot chocolate- I used a heavy cream recipe with real chocolate and the machine did its job of heating and frothing very well, even though it was primarily meant for powdered hot chocolate mixes.
