This is not only a napkin holder but a piece of art. It still look good when it's left emptied. I subtracted 1 star because we have to get an 8"x8" (not a common size) napkin in order for it to look good in the tray. We are lucky enough to have an Ikea near by which they sell 8"x8" napkin so we usually stock up.. Wendy. Arcadia, CA. Thu Mar 10 2016

Bring a breath of the seaside to the table with this brushed-silver napkin holder, designed as a lively school of fish swimming across the front. The layered metal silhouettes — finished with small rounded rivets and a soft matte sheen — give it the easy, breezy character of a coastal kitchen, while a flat rectangular base on four little ball feet keeps everything looking tidy and grounded. Compact at about 5.9 inches wide and 4.7 inches tall, with a slim depth that slips easily between place settings, it sits neatly on a kitchen counter, dining table, or buffet without crowding — holding napkins upright and within easy reach for casual breakfasts, weekend brunches, and seaside dinners. The open design keeps most standard paper or cloth napkins neatly in place. The cool, brushed-silver tone pairs effortlessly with whites, soft blues, and natural textures like rattan and driftwood — right at home in a beach house, a lake cottage, or any room that leans into that relaxed, by-the-water feel. Lightweight and easy to move, it adds a touch of nautical charm even between meals — and makes a thoughtful housewarming, hostess, or beach-house gift. To keep it looking its best, simply wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth.

Where function meets a little bit of whimsy. This solid wood sailboat napkin holder turns a stack of folded napkins into the sail — two upright wooden mast pegs hold them in a natural triangular shape, while the smooth dark walnut-brown hull sits steady on any flat surface. Load the napkins, set it down, done. Carved from solid wood with a rich dark finish and softly rounded edges, the hull shows real wood grain throughout — the kind of detail that reads as considered, not mass-produced. At 4.7" wide and just under 5" tall, it fits between place settings without crowding the table. The sailboat shape is a natural fit for coastal, nautical, and beach-house dining rooms, but works equally well on a modern kitchen counter or an outdoor table. Dark wood pairs easily with white dinnerware, blue-and-white linens, and rattan textures. Compact and lightweight with enough solidity to stay put — and the kind of piece that gets a comment every time someone sits down. A ready-to-give gift for housewarmings, hostess presents, or anyone who loves a table that looks like it was styled on purpose.
