This is a beautiful set of flatware with a classy look. It would work with many different styles of dinnerware. For me, it was a no brainer since even my stemware had the same black and gold trim. There is a downside you should be aware of when making a decision about buying. There is only one fork in each place setting, and the areas where the gold and black meet is a potential for rough spots. My biggest issue is with the tablespoon. It is oddly weighted more to the bowl than the handle so a little awkward. It’s also larger and heavier than the typical tablespoon. All that aside, I’m happy my purchase and would buy it again.. Beautiful flatware! I love the black finish. I only used 3 of the 5 pieces at each place setting of a table I sponsored at a Christmas event at my church. The flatware was the perfect finishing touch! They have some weight to them so they don’t feel cheap. I washed them by hand before and again in the dishwasher after and they still look perfect. *EDIT/UPDATE: After using a couple spoons one night, not sure what happened but they both turned black and weird. They have 10yr warranty, so need to contact manufacturer, but still... never had ANY flatware, even after 15+ years if use, look like this. Flatware set itself is nice, and delivery via FedEx was a day earlier than expected, but the PACKAGING was a mess. The Flatware box was shipped in another box probably 8-10 times its size for some reason, and when i opened the big, "main" box the entire flatware set had fallen out of its own "branded" box, all the packaging, warranty cards, etc. I guess not a huge deal, but who's packing this stuff??? Looked literally THROWN into the box with different sized bubble wrap thrown in on top. Not WRAPPED in the bubble wrap (literally has wrap in the name).
