Crackle and thunder – a magical wonder. At Kosta Boda, we marvel at beautifully preserved cracks in the glass. The pink bowl from the Crackle collection has an expressive, sculptural exterior created using an old handicraft technique in which the hot glass is dipped in ice-cold water. The crackled surface reflects daylight and reveals its stories of fire, earth, and water. The bowl is mouth-blown in Kosta and designed by Åsa Jungnelius.

The Moss series from Kosta Boda is created from reused old molds from Kosta Glasbruk that are carved by hand to bring out a unique, undulating and lively surface in the glass. The bowl is now made in clear glass and gives a dimension of life where you can place fruit and berries or even as a punch bowl where champagne can bubble up. Made in Kosta with design by Åsa Jungnelius and was initially produced in collaboration with Gothenburg Opera's 30th anniversary.

The Contrast collection from Kosta Boda is manufactured using a technique called centrifugation. The technique, invented in Sweden's Kingdom of crystal in the 1950s, creates veils of color inside the glass mass. In combination with the color powder and sticks added during the process, each piece becomes unique. The blue/blue bowl is just beautiful on its own – or why not filled with fruit?
