This is a fantastic kettle. Solid finish, sturdy handle and whistle, and the gradient finish is flawless. My first one lasted over 20 years and I only bought a new one because I changed my kitchen color scheme. Folks, is a fantastic kettle! Solid enamel, sturdy handle and whistle, and the gradient Sea Salt finish is flawless. It pours very well provided you open the spout when pouring, and I only say this because too many people don’t actually know how to use a whistling tea kettle! I have seen too many reviews, saying it leaks all over when pouring because they’re trying to pour through the whistle opening rather than the kettle opening! Honestly, some people should not be allowed to write reviews if they don’t understand how to use the simplest of products!! My first kettle is 20 years old and I only bought a new one because I changed my kitchen color scheme. Over the years that kettle heated water on gas, electric, and wood stoves with never a problem . I ordered this titanium tea kettle because the glass/plastic one I had made water taste like plastic. So far, I have not had the experience with this kettle and my tea actually tastes like tea and not plastic. The kettle is light weight and almost feels like plastic or aluminum. The handle is plastic that looks like wood, but the lid and inside and anything that touches the water/steam is metallic. It heats water quickly, is easy to clean, simple, nice looking, and there is no weird plastic taste.
