Before I purchased, I made sure to ask the seller if this set is made for everyday use. The company said yes. I washed them in Dawn soap water with a rag prior to use, by the next day I had see through areas on my dinnerware set. I contacted customer service. They immediately got me a new set. I even then talked to the seller directly to find out what happened. I received a completely new set free of charge. You can see the difference. I’m grateful and satisfied with my purchase. I was pleasantly surprised with these plates. The reason I gave it four stars is that in the photos the plates seem to be of different sizes - so initially I was disappointed when I found they were all the same size. But the high-quality, the fact that they were really pretty and unique in their different shapes, added to the appeal. They are also heavier than I expected.
