Central to Chantal’s New Scandinavian Collection is the 1.4 qt Sven teakettle. Clean lines and natural wood help create a design that is distinctly Northern European. The blond wood handle and knob are made of 100% natural Rubberwood, a tropical tree that grows in the warm climate of Asia. The wood stays cool to the touch when boiling water and the light color beautifully accents the enamel finish of the teakettle’s body. Perfect for all cooktops, including magnetic induction.

I purchased the gray version of this tea kettle over five years ago. I was hesitant about spending so much on a tea kettle, but it’s attractive, has a significant whistle and does the job. There’s a little bit of staining on the bottom, but other than that, it looks like it the day I received it.. Mary. Medford, OR. Tue May 19 2026

The Viking Stainless Steel 2.6 Quart Whistling Tea Kettles feature a 3-Ply base for even heat distribution that results in faster boiling. The Viking Kettle is the perfect stove top accent for any kitchen and works on all stovetops, including induction. Featuring a classic design, these tea kettles bring a timeless look to any stovetop. The kettle body and spout are built with 18/8 stainless steel that is non-reactive and easy to maintain. Because the kettle is surgical grade stainless steel, it won’t impart metallic flavor into your water so you can enjoy the full-bodied flavor of your coffee, tea, instant soups and more. A thick aluminum core embedded in the stainless steel base heats evenly, allowing water to reach the boiling point more quickly than traditional kettles. The magnetic stainless steel base works on all cooktops, including induction. The Viking kettles include a glass lid that offers visibility into the heating progress for anyone that wants to debate whether or not a watched pot boils faster. Being able to see the progress of the water as it nears a boil also allows you to turn off the heat when you want to enjoy beverage that benefits from a temperature that is just off-a-boil. The levered one-touch spout includes a heat-resistant silicone cover and can be open and closed with a thumb or single finger. The spout's melodic whistle alerts you to when your water is ready to serve. Depending on how much water is in the kettle and how long it’s been boiling, heat may transfer to the handle, especially with gas stoves. Please be sure the lid is tightly seated in place before heating. Gas stoves heat more of the kettle itself, allowing the heat to travel through the body of the kettle into the handle much quicker, eventually becoming too warm to grip without protection. We always recommend using a hot pad or other protection when lifting a hot kettle until you know how it responds on your particular stovetop. This is so pretty! I’m doing a kitchen refresh and decided this would look great on the stovetop between the green cabinets with the off white tiles (not yet installed). The whistle is annoyingly loud, so you will hear it no matter where you are. You do have to flip the spout cover up independently of the handle I don’t mind, but you might. The kettle comes with a cover for the handle-you will appreciate it…the handle gets very hot.. Darcy. Chico, CA. Mon Aug 31 2026

Folks, is a fantastic kettle! Solid enamel, sturdy handle and whistle, and the gradient Sea Salt finish is flawless. It pours very well provided you open the spout when pouring, and I only say this because too many people don’t actually know how to use a whistling tea kettle! I have seen too many reviews, saying it leaks all over when pouring because they’re trying to pour through the whistle opening rather than the kettle opening! Honestly, some people should not be allowed to write reviews if they don’t understand how to use the simplest of products!! My first kettle is 20 years old and I only bought a new one because I changed my kitchen color scheme. Over the years that kettle heated water on gas, electric, and wood stoves with never a problem . Well worth the money, and with all the color options there’s something for everyone’s taste. This is a purchase you won’t regret!. Tracy Marie. Rapid River, MI. Wed Apr 29 2026

This stovetop tea kettle is an exclusive design to the company that features matte black enamel on steel, a rubberwood handle, and stainless steel accents.

This tea kettle has been perfect for me. It looks great in my white kitchen, but more importantly, it functions beautifully. I've been using it several times a day since I received it (about a month ago), and I have seen none of the issues that other reviewers have observed. The inside has not rusted, chipped or degraded in any way. This was of the utmost importance to me, because I don't like the idea of consuming toxins from cookware. I had previously purchased a kettle from Turkey (on Etsy), and in less than 1 week the interior started pitting - and I have no idea what the metal that was touching the water consisted of. In contrast, this Chantal kettle has maintained its integrity, it whistles loudly, and the lid fits just fine - not too small, not too large. I don't even use a potholder with it: when the whistling starts I take the kettle off the burner, leave on the lid, flip up the spout & pour. Once the cup(s) is/are filled, I empty the pot in the sink through the spout (keeping the lid on). There is no burning water anywhere (except in the sink). The final step is to simply remove the cap & let everything air dry on the stove. This is a great functional kettle & I am very happy with this purchase!. Carol. Sat Apr 01 2023

Love this little powerhouse! It looks great on my stove and boils enough for two cups of coffee in the time it takes me to grind the beans & put them in two filters. If it had a whistle it would be perfect but I knew it lacked one when I bought it, so no complaints. Decent price, too. Thanks, Wayfair!. Leslie Sullivan. Brattleboro, VT. Sat Oct 18 2025

The Enamel Teapot with Whistle is a practical and nostalgic kitchen or country home accessory. Safety - Enamel is a glass-like coating applied to metal, melted at high temperatures to form a durable, smooth surface. Unlike many modern alternatives with unverified compositions, enamel contains no harmful chemicals. Enamel cookware is shatterproof, easy to clean, and hypoallergenic. Dishwasher-safe and ideal for daily use. The teapot is made of steel, which provides enhanced resistance to damage and deformation, making it more durable than many other materials.
