The machine-made decanter distinguishes by its elegant and complex design. The whole-heartedly believes all wines - young and old, red, white, or sparkling - can be enhanced by decanting. Decanting old wines, just a few moments before they are served helps to ensure that the clarity and brilliance of the wine are not obscured by any deposit that may have developed over time. Decanting young wines several hours before they are served gives the wine a chance to bloom and attain a stage of development that normally requires years of aging.

I would like to experience more red wine, and a decanter is a perfect way to share the experience with friends. This decanter is absolutely gorgeous, everything you come to expect from Riedel in design and quality. It is both solid yet delicate, and the glass is beautifully clear with no imperfections. This is a very pretty set if you collect sake sets then by all means add this one. It is quite lovely. But if you are looking for a simple and useful set, do yourself a favor and follow the restaurants. Get one in the standard shape, they hold the temperature better. If you prefer cold sake again this one does not maintain the temperature well. Happy hunting.. Anonymous. Thu Jul 18 2024
