This roomy whale butter dish is a nice touch to any coastal decor. Very cute. Although its purpose is to store butter with lines that align for easy precise butter measures, I am using my for a totally different purpose- as a trinket box on my coastal bathroom vanity (to hide earrings or other jewelry for quick easy storage and "hideaway." It is ceramic and very breakable if you are not careful but no more or less breakable than any other ceramic item.
