I got this 6 pack of dinner plates so that I could check out the colors, design and just get a feel for the quality, BEFORE I commit to purchasing the set. I am happy to report that they are gorgeous!! They have a nice weight, colors are vibrant and shiny. The swirled design really looks nice. My plan is to use these plates as part of a mix/match with another set, also from Vancassa - which is the Bohemian pattern! I plan to get a few salad plates & cereal bowls from the Bonita, as well. I bought these salad plates to replace the ones I had broken over the years from my Sophie Conran set that I purchased about 12 years ago. Most of the damage came from accidentally dropping them because Sophie Conran dishes are incredibly resilient. None of my original plates have chipped over the years, which really says a lot about the quality. I was honestly surprised at how well my original plates have held up. The glaze on the new plates matches my 12 year old plates so closely that it’s difficult to tell the difference between them. In the photo I included, the plate on the left is brand new and the plate on the right is from my original collection purchased 12 years ago. They are still just as shiny and beautiful.
