I was trying to replace a red longevity symbol teacup which was conical with a red base. This used to be a very common cup and was available in many Chinese supply shops but I was told that the factory had closed. These are cylindrical and have a white base. This was well documented on the web site, so it was my fault for not noticing. I have decided to keep them as I could serve tea to six friends with them and they would match my existing pot. The old ones had a makers mark on the underside of the base, while these do not. This is one of the disadvantages of buying online as opposed to in person. The cuteness factor is off the charts in these little mugs. My only disappointment was that one came slightly chipped. I’m not sure how it happened because the mugs were thoroughly wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in a bubble-wrap lined package. I’d like to exchange, but not sorry I ordered.. Laura. KS.
