I bought this for camping gear, I wanted to find a press not made of glass so I didn't have to worry about it while packing. This is just as described/pictured, and is the perfect size for 2 cups of tea/coffee (I have big mugs). My old press (given to my son for college) had a neoprene sleeve that helped keep the contents warm longer, I do miss that but it's not a deal-breaker!
