Please rotate the thickness adjustment knob on the head of the machine, it can adjust the gap between the two grinding pads inside the machine. If you adjust the thickness adjustment knob continually, it will affect the grinding pads of the friction. With too much, the torque of the motor cannot drive. Just turn the thickness adjustment knob in the opposite direction. The machine may not discharge or stop working in the grinding of dry grain: first, refer to the description of the second point. If the machine fails to resume operation, it is most likely caused by abrasive flakes and grain blockage inside the machine. Open the machine compartment, remove the grinding pads, remove the grain in the machine compartment, and then reinstall the grinding pads. The machine does not work well when grinding wet grains or wet corns: machines grinding wet grains and wet corn, need to add water while adding grain or corn. The user is advised to connect a small water pump or water pipe to the hopper feed. If there is no water or too little water, the ground grains will become slimy and block the grinding discs. I was using my neighbors meat grinder that was probably purchased in the 70’s to grind some of my roast that were left from our 1/2 beef. I ran out of hamburger faster and didn’t have anymore. I was looking for something that could be apples to apples in design, weight and quality. Overall, the grinder is very straightforward to use. Assembly is simple, and once everything is set up it's pretty intuitive. The motor feels powerful enough for home cooking and grinds meat quickly when it’s cut into small pieces and slightly chilled. I also appreciated the reverse function, which helps clear any small clogs and keeps things moving smoothly. According to the specs, the grinder can process up to about 3 pounds of meat per minute, which is more than enough for us. What I liked most is how easy it is to get consistent results. The included plates let you choose different grind sizes, and the sausage attachment is a nice bonus if you want to try making your own sausages. Its very easy to use, and attached to my Kitchenaid mixer. The quart bowl is very sturdy. The size is 2quarts. I also love this product because it’s dishwasher safe. Except for the bowl.
