Delight in the holiday magic as handpainted fir trees and bright cardinals drift across the fresh white canvas of each handcrafted piece in the Lastra holiday four-piece place setting. This cheerful set is handpainted on Italian stoneware in Tuscany and includes a European dinner plate, salad plate, pasta bowl, and cereal bowl. A region in central Italy, Tuscany is known for its landscapes, history, craftsmanship, and influence on culture. The birthplace of the Renaissance, Tuscany is often called the art palace of Italy, and many of the world's greatest works of art come from the region. Ceramics have a long legacy in the area and maintain their place of importance in the region today. Signor Stefano Roselli is the master molder for a ceramics cooperative located in a small town seven miles outside of Florence, and he is the creator of this collection. Vietri has worked with Stefano and factory owner Franco Ammannati for close to 15 years, creating and bringing to market dinnerware collections, vases, urns, and other home decor products.
