This gorgeous wall hanging is inspired by Louis Comfort Tiffany’s A View of Oyster Bay. It is a scene where one looks through a trellis hung with lush, deeply coloured wisteria vines with blue blossoms to a serene: sun-dappled bay and a glorious sky. The lower portion of the view is the blue water of the bay. Distant land masses are made of purplish colour. This wall hanging re-creates the magic window of Tiffany’s iconic View of Oyster Bay to your home.Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848 - 1933) was a key figure in American’s Art Nouveau movement. As an art designer, his famous work is decorative art using leaded and stained glass for windows and lampshades. View of Oyster Bay is a particularly splendid example of the art and craft of Tiffany’s leaded stain glass. The scene closely resembles views from the north shore of Long Island, New York.
