main reason for choosing was being able to use it for grill cheese. Haven't used the basket yet. However, have used for toast. Disappointed with: Enter holes not wide enough for bagels or hamburger buns. Also not deep enough. Also when I first opened box I thought, I didn't realize I was buying a toy to lightweight toaster. I have to hold it when hitting buttons or will fall off table. At least I have a cleaner toaster then my old one.

My kids makes this themselves.

Bought for my teenagers to make their own grilled cheese sandwiches without making a mess. It works great just make sure to use regular sliced store bought bread.
