The Franco Albini Ottoman by Sika Design brings midcentury charm and practical versatility to indoor settings. Inspired by the iconic 1951 Franco Albini creation, this revival captures all the striking sculptural details of the original ottoman design. Handmade from sustainably harvested Indonesian rattan, the ottoman features a solid inner framework with four feet in an airy of curved rattan strands, woven and bound together by skilled craftsmen. Designed for indoor use, the low-profile piece becomes a welcome perch for a tray of drinks in the living room as well as elevating the aesthetic and comfort of a hotel or resort lounge.

Arne Jacobsen, Nanna and Jorgen Ditzel, Viggo Boesen, and Franco Albini were all pioneers of their time. They broke new ground when they made experimental shapes with rattan and wicker and created sculptural and timeless icons. With great respect and admiration for the original designs and in close collaboration with the descendants of these renowned furniture makers, we are pleased and proud to be able to bring these icons back.
