Armed Sconce

Using only right angles in one continuous piece of metal, this fixture works on the same principles as the Dutch Modernist art movement, De Stijl. Straight lines operating on vertical and horizontal planes guide the sconce’s design. Meanwhile, a tapered shade offers gentle contrast and a beautifully stepped backplate creates a sense of depth.
