Pillow protector appears to be very well made. UPDATE: Washed for 1st time and found stitching on one case completely undone leaving a 3 inch hole that needs to be repaired. Seems completely airtight moisture resistant. Instructions stated to be sure pillow and protector are completely dry before zipper closed. This will prevent possibility of mold growth. Haven’t washed yet but it appears sturdy enough to resist the hot water washing that is recommended. I never put a mattress in it. I used it to transport balloons, and it worked well. The bag is huge, so a lot of balloons fit without being crushed. The zipper closed all the way and stayed closed. Waterproof material kept everything dry, and the eight handles made it actually carryable instead of a giant slippery tarp. It didn’t tear or split at the seams on the trip. It’s still just a cheap moving bag — thin plastic, not something I’d trust for a long-term storage project or a heavy mattress over multiple moves. Love this protector, with it being an encasement one it makes it easy to wash. As the top is the only thing you have to take off. You unzip the top take it off throw it in the wash and then when it’s done being launder you zip it back on. You don’t have to struggle with it like you had to with the old encasement protectors..
