I read the reviews before purchasing this bed. I was prepared for the assembly even had a saw handy for the slats. It went together fairly easy. I followed the instructions step by step. I had the help of my 75 year old Aunt. We completed it in less than two hours. My only issue was the slats were not all predrilled and the screws provided were less than great. The bed is really pretty, sturdy, solid wood, but it’s a few things that prevent me from giving 5 stars. No instructions, took some time to find them online. The headfootboardsside rails don’t perfectly line up, which bothers the perfectionist in me. Not enough screws included to screw in both sides of each slat, had to do every other. There is a zippered compartment on the back of the headboard that I presume is for storing the slats when disassembled. I keep the allen wrench in there to tighten the screws every few months.. Pleased with my purchase. The queen size bed frame and headboard came in excellent condition. The construction appears solid. Assembly took less than 30 minutes. However, if you arent very familiar with furniture assembly instructions, you may struggle a little as none of the pieces were labeled with the numbers used in the instructions. That being said, if you look carefully at the diagrams, you should be fine. Bed assembly is pretty straightforward. It does have a slight varnish smell that has started to fade after 3 days.. A..
