The Ottoman by 14 Karat Home Inc. Is a very nice well made sturdy ottoman. We couldnt find any manual but it was simple enough to screw in the 8 screws for the feet of the ottoman but there are 2 metal bracket and there are 2 slots in the bottom platform of the ottoman but we cant figure out how it is supposed to be installed. The pillow tops were vacuumed pack and have weight to them very well made and nice material. Our dog loves it! There are velcro on the bottom of the top pillow and the middle section. I really like this sofa bed overall. It’s the perfect size for two smaller adults to sleep comfortably, and it’s a great option for a small apartment without taking up too much space. The only issue I had is that one of the wheels underneath tends to come loose when pulling the bed out. It seems like that part wasn’t assembled very well. I was doing it by myself and found it was easier to connect the pieces together with someone else as they are very heavy. As far as comfort, the couch could use some work in that department. It’s very stiff. We’ve only had it a few days so it might just need to be broken in. But as of right now it’s pretty hard to sit on. The lay down feature is very nice and great to watch movie and spread out. My husband is 5’10 and he’s too tall for it. I’m 5’5 and it’s just about the right height for me. When the portion is not out, it’s not super comfy to just sit and watch tv. I think it’s good for the price point and because it’s just the two of us. This would not work for a large family. Im genuinely surprised at the quality of this couch! It didnt have a lot of reviews so I took a shot. I have an extremely small space so had to have a sectional, floor vents in an old house so had to be raised, and cats and dogs so had to have removable cushion covers to wash. This left me pretty narrow on options but this couch works with all my criteria. The white is also a nice beige so it doesnt look sterile and I dont have to worry about obvious animal hair between vacuuming. Everyone who has seen it says it looks nice and both my bf and I find it very comfortable compared to my last loveseat with foam cushions. Were both tall and can stretch out on each portion of the couch. Its also fairly deep so I can nap on it without feeling like Im falling off. For the price Id say its worth it. Only complaint is it did feel cheap unboxing (couch comes in 3 boxes that may not be delivered at the same time) and one of the back sectionals is a little misaligned with the other backings. My significant other is still trying to figure out how to put this together, somehow he did this with it (see image) and currently it’s a chair instead of a storage loveseat. The fabric is really soft and the pillows are quite fluffy. They come very flat and take a several days to fully puff up. Hopefully he’ll figure out the full secret to assembly success and I’ll be able to report back with the loveseat reveal. It does make a nice chair so far. This couch overall is decent but definitely not my favorite. The chenille fabric feels soft, the off white color is nice, and it was simple to put together. When first getting I let the cushions expand on their own but ended up opening the zipper and doing the pillows and backrest cushions by hand as they didn't fluff out fully on their own. The couch overall is very firm and I could see the back cushions shape not holding up over time. The seat cushions are deep making it ideal for lounging and the backrest and height of the couch is low so not super ideal for support when you want to sit and talk to others. One of the seat bases came warped which cause some issues when putting together but we were able to make it work because we didn't want to deal with a return process. The couch was delivered very quick and all pieces came within a day of wach other. I paid $780 for a new couch which will do for a couple years until I can upgrade.. Emily. ND. Fri Aug 21 2026
