Emphasizing the thick cushioned seat is a bit misleading. The seat does look like it’s 6” thick, but important to note that its hollow underneath - the actual padding on the seat is no more than 1.5 to 2 inches. Not terribly comfortable, but it looks nice and fits our space just fine. It went together fairly easily by my husband who is quite handy - I would not have been able to do it myself as there were MANY parts to deal with.
