The lighthouse birdhouse is a spot-on replica of the famous located at the easternmost point of Long Island, New York. The construction of the lighthouse was authorized by none other than President George Washington and bears the distinction of being the first public works project of the United States. The (in) famous pirate Captain Kidd is said to have buried treasure at the foot of the lighthouse, but it's yet to be found. It took a little longer to arrive, but is well worth the wait. Solid construction and easy to assemble. I had it together in 15 minutes. The lighthouse stands at a little over 5’. The company even included a small paint kit so you can touch up areas when and if you need to. The lighthouse looks better than what is shown on Wayfair. The quality is nothing short of excellent. I love the Patriotic theme. Tomorrow I’ll place this on a dolly to take to my front lawn. It requires an electrical outlet to plug into. Lucky for me we have one center front of house.
