I agree that it is realistic looking! The battery case is attached not swinging on a long cord. You do need to fluff the stems which is true of all swags. Such a beautiful winter garland! It is definitely a Christmas decorating piece, but this can take you right through winter as well! It is approximately six feet long and little baubles seem to be Styrofoam. It is a bit delicate so make sure to handle with care (but if your little ball falls off i am sure a little glue is all you need to remedy it). This garland is really pretty. I wrapped it with another garland that I got from Wayfair - it looks best when combined with other garlands I think. The berries look pretty real. You can kind of see some of the 'branches' where it's held together, but you could easily cover that with other garlands if you hung them more carefully than I did.
