Have had this in bedroom across 4 different apartments and love it. First time I purchased it I hired someone to mount it because I didn't want it to fall, but then the next time was able to do it myself with a friend helping. And after that, was able to just mount it myself but it takes a little longer. If you plan to put this somewhere unconventional (i.e. not a living room where wall studs are often found in more areas where you'd possibly put a TV up), I'd just double check to make sure you know where you're putting it and if you'll need to purchase heavy duty anchors separately. Also you won't really be able to put any media or entertainment systems on it like a traditional TV stand as it's not big enough, but you're buying this for the aesthetic not the functionality.. Got this S shaped floating shelf with LED strip lights for my son’s room. Assembly was fairly quick and easy, it also has some good weight to it. We decided to use this for his Funko Pop collection and it worked great for it. We was a little disappointed in how the strip light looks on, it only lights up the middle and not the sides like the pictures show before purchasing, and if I did the strip light on the outside the middle wasn’t going to light up so I was torn in between.
