I like this and I am small enough fit through the gate, but my elderly father has trouble with it and his caregiver has trouble fitting through it and opening and closing it. My dog is 15 pounds and can’t get out of it, so that is the best part. Perhaps my Dad’s caregiver will figure out how to open and close it. So, we had a bit of trouble in the beginning but Wayfair made it right. The first gate was dented pretty badly, we returned it received the second one which was missing the screws needed to put the footers on. This gate is made out of super steel which normally would be great but there's no pre drilled holes for the hinges and latch and its nearly impossible to make a dent in the gate. So I cant attach it to the matching FE26 hinges nor the latch. 0 stars. For the price i paid I wanted something easy to put together that actually works. Our gate is fully forged, which is thicker and heavier than most iron gates on the market. It is really pretty. Wasn’t hard to assemble. Unfortunately the latch situation others have described in their reviews are true. The latch must have been put on backwards because the gate will NOT stay shut. Any little breeze will open it. I’ll have to figure out a latch that will match it and actually keep it closed. Love this pet gate. The style, weight of it, and height are perfect. I have 2 older 5 lb dogs and a new rescue dog that is 85 lbs so I have to keep them separated. Unfortunately I am having to return the gate. One of my small dogs got their nail caught in the mesh wire... luckily with me standing close by. I do love the design of this gate. It’s so tall that my kitties can’t go over, around, through, or under. I even like the way it opens to let me go through, without having to negotiate a bottom rail to trip on. It locks securely and was easily assembled and carefully packed. It’s attractive and exceptionally useful. My only concerns: My doorway was not true. It apparently is a few millimeters wider near the top than bottom, so the center doesn’t meet the same way in the top as bottom. This is not the fault of the gate, so I did not deduct a star. My other concern is that there’s a lot of plastic parts. I wish all the components were made of metal.
