I dont think it would stand up to wind and whatnot without being anchored with that being said Im going to Anchor it to our metal pipe fence gate. I like the slightly modern design of this edging. It goes with my MCM home better than the typical rounded "granny" style edging. The panels are quality too -- very stout iron that goes in the ground easily. Connecting the panels is super simple too. Just put one leg through the loop in the adjacent panel -- no additional ties or clamps needed. I'm currently using the panels to keep plants from spilling into my walkway, but they would work great on a slope to support tall plants too. Birds, nature and gardens are among my favorite things so this beautiful gray decorative edging fence appealed to me from the moment I saw it on the website. I liked it even more once it arrived and I unboxed it, noting how sturdy the panels and matching stakes were. This is such a cute, low fence that's easy and quick to set up in the ground along the sidewalk with no tools required (all you do is link the panels together and press the stakes into the ground). It also fits well into our friendly neighborhood's vibe, gently encouraging the people and dogs walking by to remain on the sidewalk so my flowering rosemary garden can thrive. An added, unexpected surprise for me is the shadow this fence's intricate design throws onto the walkway when the sun is overhead.
