I just love it! We needed a clock/thermometer combo for our patio that could be seen from the house (my husbands desk looks out on the patio) and be heavy enough that it wouldn't fly off when things get windy where we live. This hit all the marks, was a great value for what it is, plus it has a Hygrometer, which tracks humidity. The back of the unit "key holes" sit down over the screw heads and the clock itself is weighty and broad. Between both of those features, I expect it will stay put even in the windiest conditions we get around here. A few things to point out: the color of the wooden border of this clock was almost a blonde natural finish when I unpackaged it, it seems (based on the review photos,) that the finish fluctuates. I actually had some dark walnut stain that I applied to darken it up, prior to this fix, it was so blonde that it seemed it hadn’t even been stained at all. But more importantly, as others have noted, the number 4 in Roman Numerals is NOT depicted accurately on this clock. All of the other numbers are, so it’s rather strange that the designer made this flaw. Also, because the primary color of the metal framing and numbers on the clock is black, the hands (which are also black) blend in to the clock, so it’s often quite hard to see them. I will likely need to lightly brush the tips of each hand with gold paint to make them stand out. Lastly, other reviewers note that the clock is silent, mine is not, it has a distinctive ticking. You can definitely hear it from across the room. I’m rating it four stars for its light hanging weight and it’s large size. A star off for the number error and the loud ticking.. Jennifer.
