This bookshelf was well thought out when it was designed. First of all, it is very heavy. It seems like solid wood and not just particle board. Next, the little cutout at the bottom back is great. The cutout fits over my taller baseboards and lets the shelf sit flush with the wall. Third, it looks great. Last, it holds many of my piano books at a time.
