Woven Baby Changing Basket

Bilia means newborn in Gurenɛ, a dialect attributed to the originators of this craft. Made from elephant grass and dyes, this Moses basket bassinet is beautifully handcrafted for your newborn. They call their bassinets "Nature's Bassinets", as they are completely handmade with dried natural elephant grass. Elephant grass is similar to hardened hay. Each basket takes several days to weave from start to finish. This is a very difficult, completely handwoven craft, as a result, patterns and natural dyeing may vary slightly. Leather handle colors may range slightly within their color groups. The basket is made of all-natural grass, without additives. The basket can become misshapen in transit but can be easily fixed by reshaping.

This was the the sweetest Moses Basket my daughter chose for her newborn baby. This doesn’t come without the stand you see illustrated in some of the photos but the mattress and one sheet is included. Of course you will need your own precious little baby .This is a nice quality and well made product. Pamela. Macclesfield, NC. Tue Feb 27 2024

Great changing pad for those looking for organic. Only issue is that this pad is slightly on the large side, so putting on a standard changing pad cover is a little tricky. Most of them fit, but are very snug, and pull at the corners.. Naomi. Irvine, CA. Fri Aug 05 2016

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to receive this product because we already love Crane Baby. I’ve always thought everything is high quality and this changing mat is no different. It comes with a cotton travel tie bag which definitely helps keep things organized. It washes well on normal cycle although delicate would be best to avoid wrinkles (like after my first wash). It’s quilted which makes it nice and soft to lay your little on. We use the munchkin changing pad and it fit perfectly! I’d love to try more!. Sarahn. Wed Jun 17 2026
