Was surprised that it showed up in a smaller box. The cover is separate from the cushion which inflates to twice or three times the size when you cut open the plastic cover. It is a bit difficult to get the leather cover on the cushion but once on, it fits snug and looks great. The leather is a little darker than I thought from some of the pics, but the color is a very nice true brown.
