I love these lanterns. I bought 2, one tall, one short. They go on my front steps if we're having company (remember those days?) or sit inside next to the front door. They look great in both spots. They do benefit from wood oil so they don't get dried out. Took a while to find an electric candle tall enough for the tall one but I prefer those to real candles because of the mess factor. The tall one did split at the joint on the top for some reason (we don't leave them outside) but I was able to reglue it and it looks fine. They are a great decor addition!. Marjorie. Beautiful design, but if using outdoors, it can blow over in wind easily and get bent out of shape making further unstable and unusable. Also it rusts.
