It is definitely darker than the photos show, more of a very dark gray. I assume it will fade some to a lighter gray, similar to what is show. FYI - you will need to pre-purchase a 4x10, to cut in half. These will be used to place in holes dug roughly 36 inches deep and set in concrete. Hopefully that saves someone else a trip. Otherwise a good buy.. Andrew. Bedford, TX. Wed Aug 05 2026

Very easy to assemble. You will need a helper to attach the arch to the posts. Only one minor issue. Where the bottom hinge attaches to the rail, two adjacent screws conflicted with one another. Remedied by using one shorter screw. Absolutely love this gated arbor and highly recommend it.. Roland. Honesdale, PA. Sun Sep 13 2026

The arbor is beautiful and strong. I gave it 4 stars because there is an issue. The lattice is made of very thin cedar (less than 1/4 of an inch) and it is stapled together. A few or the staples came loose during assembly and will need to be redone. I am considering adding stronger cedar boards on the sides to strengthen it. At this price point, I think the manufacturer should have used stronger wood for the lattice. There were also a few bumps and marks, but these were minor. I love the assembly service that Wayfair provided. The handyman was great. He was on timely, proficient and sensitive to my needs.. Judy. Maryland. Sun Aug 09 2026

Your Gate Your Way. Unlimited Design Possibilities to show off your gate, not your frame. Patented low-profile, sag-free design, and intuitive installation - Just add wood!

I bought this gate kit at the beginning of summer and finally got it done! It was super easy to assemble i highly recommend watching the video instructions they helped a lot. Im not an experienced carpenter so it was super helpful. It took about 2 hours from start to finish and looks great! I ordered 2 more to make a driveway gate to match the fence we built too. Very happy with this product. My one complaint is they shorted us about 15 black screws and I had to use gray ones that I had to complete it fully. Again shorted 10 screws for 2 kits that I bought for the driveway gate. Still it looks great. I had to orient my gate hardware differently because im adding wheels and wanted solid wood on the side wheels will be attached to. i dont mind seeing the hardware on the opposite side. I like the way that looks as well the hardware is so attractive. Im happy with this, easy to assemble, product. Anonymous. Portland, ME. Wed Sep 17 2025

The packaging and quality of the cedar is very good. Like Teal, of Pomona, NY stated in their review: it’s a box of wood and bag of hardware and some very simplistic instructions. As a prolific builder and DIYfer I used my experience in assembling the arch. Fortunately, I have a pneumatic brad nailer with galvanized brads which made short time in nailing the many pieces together. I did not follow the slat spacing suggestions from the directions, rather having read the reviews, I made my own jig spacers after careful measurements. Pros: Good quality cedar; Looks excellent when completed; Assembly is straight forward once you figure out the spacing; Left unfinished the cedar will gracefully weather Cons: Directions need embellishment; Not for those wanting a quick assembly; Took over 6 hours to complete; Nails provided are not galvanized and should be of an outside product; Only 2 decorative wooden “arrows”---should be 4 for two on each side; Added longer and beefier exterior screws at the top/side joints for more strength. Instructions for installing are inadequate. Had to improvise for stability and fit, lucky to have a husband with tools who is able to do so. Once the finished product is completed however, the gate looks great. I really like how it locks to maintain privacy in the backyard since we have a pool. I like that my dog can see through the slats and that the wind passes through them without causing force on the gate.. Lisa. Wed Oct 07 2026
