I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this arbor it is nice wood and the color is very nice as well, I would advise you determine and measure first the location you want this to be placed as it is bigger than you might think. Also, some help would be needed to put the arbor together, put the pieces of the doors together before you start putting the screws in so you make sure that everything is leveled and both doors close right.. 1 of 2 built! I’m disabled and I was able to build it myself. Very simple and extremely light. The hard part in my opinion was digging holes to anchor it in the ground and making sure it was level. This 7ft tall arched wooden arbor features a carbonized finish for natural weather and insect resistance. Where do I begin, initially I was very drawn to this garden arch with planters. However, after opening the box I noticed some issues right away. First, this wood has an odor to it that gave me a headache. Then I picked up a few pieces and was shocked by how lite they were. Not a durable quality wood, but something cheaper. Multiple parts are being held together with staples, the wood supports are not even long enough to go from side to side. It is resistant to mildew and rot, making it well-equipped for its outdoor role.

This product would easily be a 5 star product if it had been shipped in protective foam (it came cracked in 4 places) and if the pre drilled holes were actually pre drilled. It was too much of a hassle to ship back so i accepted a partial refund and kept it. That said it’s only half assembled because of the missing pre-drilled holes. Given the cracks in it I won’t be shocked if it doesn’t survive a heavy wind storm. THAT said, the product is beautiful so i only took off the 1 star even though it was tempting to take off 2 stars. Although I loved the finished product, the arbor was difficult to put together. Instructions on assembly were not included. The pieces had small white stickers on them that were numbered, however some of the numbers were written directly on the wood. This has to be one of my favorite décor purchases of all time. I cannot overstate the degree to which this has elevated the back yard. It was relatively easy to assemble. Took 1 person under an hour with a ladder. It comes exactly as advertised and as pictured which is all too rare these days. It anchors deep and well in the ground.
