After reading the comments, we decided to hire the (Wayfair) professional assembly service, which turned out to be totally worth it and the right decision. The wood used is incredibly very solid; this is a simple styl, yet very robust and durable sofa bed. We have bought too much assembly-required furniture online, mostly from overseas brands, that upon close inspection had poorly finished paint or felt light and fragile, as if it could easily break under pressure.
