This is a good storage bench. The larger area has an adjustable optional shelf. The cushion is soft enough for extra seating but firm enough to be sturdy. I was able to put it together myself, but it was frustrating at times. Many of the holes aren’t drilled properly, making it hard to screw in things. The two doors for the larger part aren’t close enough, so you can see a space. The thing to lift up the cushion was especially difficult to screw in. I am not very happy with this product, particularly because I paid a premium price expecting the premium quality depicted in the online product photos. I will not be burying expensive items from Wayfair again, as I have in the past (check my purchase history). I am only buying in-person, since Wayfair apparently has no quality control. I very easily could have ordered a lower priced item which looked comparably well, but chose the premium product. The product was not as depicted not just in the quality of the finish, but also the a much simpler and plain drawer design was sent to me, not what was in the online photos. The attached pictures show that the staining was incomplete, patch around the drawers, and missing on the lower portion of the baseboard. Obviously, the workers manufacturing this product rushed through process, and did not put care into the staining and clearcoating process. The same is true of the clearcoat. Also, no assembly instructions were included, and there were no holes for attaching the cushion to the bench. I was extremely disappointed with Wayfair. The item is exactly as described and appears as shown in the photos. The wood it is constructed of is very lightweight, and the overall quality is ok - I would not say the quality matches the high cost of the item. I selected the inside delivery option, thinking it would be unboxed and placed inside, as other items delivered by that option have been. I guess it is my fault for not reading the fine print, though, as the delivery guys dropped off a massive shipping crate that I had to use a screw driver to open. I then had to remove the item in a shipping box and unpack it. The convenience of having an item arrive fully assembled is significantly lessened by now having a huge, wooden shipping crate sitting in my living room that I now have to figure out how to disassemble and dispose of.. Very overpriced! It does look like the picture but is extremely lightweight, I can easily lift it myself and I am not a very strong woman. I would estimate it is about 20 lbs. When you pull out the drawer, it feels like the whole thing will fall over. The wood is also very soft and will get dented easily, I expect it will not look good for very long. Also, my husband’s size 11 shoes have to be put in diagonally for the doors to close, women’s size 10 is the biggest that fits. It will do but for the price I am quite disappointed.. Anonymous.
